A Quick Movie Review: Fast Five

May 8, 2011

Death defying stunts. Hot babes. Gorgeous hunks. Comedy. Strategy. Fast cars.

All these infused in one movie! I would have to say that the fifth installment of the Fast and Furious movies was able to deliver.

Now with the crew complete, Dominic finds himself on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent.

Shot in picturesque Rio de Janeiro, the movie engaged the urban beauty of Brazil and incorporate it to the different conflicts that the lead actors have to face. The movie’s got interesting shooting angles topped with a killer soundtrack, which definitely added to the awesomeness of the movie.

with the crew complete, Dwayne Johnson is definitely the cherry on top, that might not be the right metaphor but anyway, you get what I mean. He might have tried to do some dramatic acting but overall, he is still funny.

In watching the movie, one will see a fusion of Ocean’s Eleven and Italian Job, only better. However, some might not like how this movie somewhat defies reality specially in the final sequences of the film.

But we should remember, that the Fast and the Furious movies are not really famous for acknowledging reality  but it defies them. What is interesting is that they were always able to pull it off. I think they wouldn’t get to the fifth movie if the formula didn’t work right?

Overall, I love this film. :)

My apologies for making a quick movie review. It is Mother’s day and I would like to spend more time with my mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there!
